A critical step in finding and keeping a job is assessment. A person first must look at what they like, what they know, what they have done, and what they’d like to do. They must determine the best course of action to take in developing a plan for their employment future.
Assessment is completed in many ways throughout our various programs. SonomaWORKS utilizes the CAPS, COPS, COPES and MBTI (The Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator) in their assessments.
Situational Assessment is provided for individuals referred through the Department of Rehabilitation who want an opportunity to try various work environments and job requirements first hand.
Most other program participants who are seeking a career direction complete the Career Exploration Inventory.
